The Role

We are looking for a Sr. Fullstack Engineer to be part of this amazing and fast – growing fintech. This candidate will be part of the team responsible for software and tools to support and implement PayClip’s core payment processing infrastructure. S/He will develop and experiment programs with different technologies. This person will be willing to experiment with new technologies to reach Clip customers, the role includes in the scope becoming the experts on content usage and customer insights. The successful candidate will have experience working with Java/Python/NextJS, RESTful, AWS and Agile Methodology. S/he should thrive in a culture of decisions based on analytics and observability, be able to step-back and communicate both the strategic and immediate implications on priorities. This candidate must have strong written and verbal communications skills in Spanish -English desirable- and be willing to continue learning and loving technology.


What will I be doing?

  • Work as part of a team developing and testing applications and services using Agile development methods.
  • Translate wireframes and designs into good quality code
  • Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure.
  • Build customer-facing UI and back-end services for payment processing administration and management.
  • Maintain existing React systems, including fixing bugs
  • High orientation to deliver awesome quality software by writing and testing code.
  • Ensuring high performance end to end.
  • Invent new things, try out AI continuously to enhance and speed up our development for creating world-changing software.

Ideal Candidate

  • 6+ years of experience with backend languages, specifically Java / Spring Boot and Python technologies.
  • Experience developing AWS Lambdas and step functions with Python.
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as a code technologies like CloudFormation
  • Experience with front-end libraries such as React, Vue or NextJS etc. (NextJS preferred + TypeScript).
  • Solid understanding of RESTful service architecture and APIs.
  • Familiar with both SQL/NoSQL database technologies.
  • Experience with common web development tools and services, such as version control software like Github, package managers, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skill
  • Unit testing experience.
